Parishes

The Feldon Group consists of the six Anglican parishes of Hunningham, Long Itchington, Marton, Offchurch, Wappenbury with Eathorpe, and Weston under Wetherley. We are situated in rural Warwickshire, England, and are part of the Diocese of Coventry.

Please click on the name of the parish below

Who's Who

Please go to the CONTACTS page for details of our clergy and others, and how to contact them.

Weddings and Baptisms

If you are thinking about a wedding or a baptism in one of our churches, please contact Tim (see the RESOURCES page, where there are links to wedding and baptism orders of service). Our lovely medieval churches make superb venues for such special occasions, and we try to make your experience as good as possible for you and your guests, within the guidelines laid down by the Church of England. Marriages of people entitled to be married in one of the parishes within the Feldon Group may take place in any of the other parishes within the Feldon Group. The Church of England has a very helpful website about church weddings - click HERE to enter it.

Faith and Values

We are people who love the Lord Jesus Christ - the Son of God who loves us, became a human being, was crucified for us, rose to life, and is now Lord of all. We trust him and follow him day by day, knowing that we are special to him despite our failings and that he has made us special to God our Father. We trust the Holy Spirit to live in us and to help us live for Jesus.

Our values are explained in a leaflet, 'The Grace Filled Church'. Please click  HERE  to download a Microsoft Word version, and please click  HERE  to download a .pdf version.

If you want to know a little more about the Christian faith, a short leaflet, 'What is Christianity about', is available to download  HERE (Microsoft Word). A good website to visit is www.rejesus.co.uk. If you want to study in more depth, Foundations 21 is an incredibly rich web based, multimedia free resource that is well worth using.

What we do

Our primary purpose as part of the Diocese of Coventry is:-
  • to worship God,
  • make new Disciples, and
  • to transform communities.
(These are the priorities of Coventry Diocese and Southam Deanery, to which we belong.)
The rest of this website shows how we go about fulfilling these priorities; however, two significant areas of activity are our small groups and our puppet ministry:

Small
Groups

Small groups are important in the life of any church, for they enable us to interact with each other and to build one another up in our faith. Some of the Sunday congregations in our villages are small groups; other groups meet during the week. Courses such as our Alpha course tend to involve small groups of people. All are open to anyone who would like to come. Details of time and place are in the DIARY; if you need more information please ring one of the clergy
(see CONTACTS).
