On June 8th we had an ecumenical service at Holy Trinity Church.
The congregation filled the church!
Revd Tim Britton led the service, Bishop John Stroyan (Anglican Bishop of Warwick) preached, and Bishop William Kenny (Roman Catholic auxilliary bishop of Birmingham) led the intercessions and blessed the new 'quadtych' and kneelers (below).
The medieval-style 'quadtych', with the left panel representing Wulfstan's family in Long Itchington, and underneath the freeing of slaves in Bristol, the next panel showing Wulfstan as a monk, then Wulfstan as Bishop of Worcester, and the right hand panel showing him as a saint.

The makers: Ned Grinonneau (frame), Les Tooby (painting), Kath Wilson and Nan Myhill (kneelers, with Rosie Skilbeck).
The Corino choir sang for us.
During the services ministers of other local churches brought greetings.
After the service there were refreshments, and folk had the opportunity to circulate...
...and for Les Tooby to explain to the clergy the details of his painting.
